official bike trainers of:

Christophe Joly, Only Age-Grouper with Bike Split Below 5 Hours at the 2008 IM Arizona
Christophe Joly, 40, of Mountainview, CA, was the only age-grouper to break 5 hours (4:59:24) on the bike at 2008 Ironman Arizona where almost a third of the participants DNFed due to the excessive heat. He placed 1/130 in his age group on the bike and 14th on the bike overall. Christophe’s training for the bike was accomplished totally INDOORS on CompuTrainer -between December and April he was on road for a total of only 7 minutes despite the fact that the weather in Mountainview is great for cycling much of the time. Most of his CompuTraining is done between 4AM and 6AM in an 8′ x 12′ shed behind his home which houses his CT setup. On three training rides he rode the complete IM Arizona 3D course on CT in 5+ hour continuous sessions. (Is it any wonder that RacerMate Guarantees that CompuTrainer purchasers will cut their Ironman bike times by 30 minutes?)
If you would like to hear more about Christophe’s use of CompuTrainer over the past 4 years he will be running the CT booth at the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon Expo on June 7th and 8th.
